| The 5th century AD saw the emergence of the most widely distributed lamp of the era. The Tunisian lamps could also be called the early Christian lamp since it's feature design was the trinity, the fish, or the universal circle. Because of their high regard, these lamps were duplicated and exported throughout the Mediterranean. The lamp's pear-shaped body, like it's 4th century predecessor, was low slung for stability, with a slightly sunken discus and a more defined nozzle and filling-holes.
