The oil lamps I have created portray my interpretation of existing artifacts found in various archeological museums throughout the world. Each is an original, sculpted in wax and cast in my foundry by the lost wax method. Most lamps from 300 BC to 700 AD were made from clay. I have chosen to honor the original artists by casting these lamps in bronze to give them a permanence that only bronze can impart.
